economic reasons.
We will offer re-tests at reduced rates after completion of recommended
works therefore improving efficiency and providing a better certificate
which will certainly improve saleability given todays high energy
prices.
BEHAVIOURAL CHANGES
There are simple ways to improve efficiency and reduce your bills:
- Turn off lights and do not leave appliances on standby eg Television,
mobile phone charger etc
- Make sure hot water is not TOO hot – set thermostat at
60 degrees Celsius
- Use draught excluders to ensure heat does not escape
INSTALLING ENERGY EFFICIENT MEASURES
- Low energy light bulbs – 12 times longer life, 80% less
energy
- Hot water tank jackets – From £10 and reduce heat
loss by 30%
- Loft insulation – 250mm can improve efficiency by 30%
- Cavity wall insulation – Filling unfilled cavity walls
can also improve efficiency by 30%
